I can smell cheapness of americans houses from the videos…no one uses cardboard for walls in european houses.

Yes the houses are heavier but they remind me of Ikea.

Been there, they are better built, unquestioned.

The thing is it looks cramped. It doesn't actually look like a house but rather than an apartment.

It's not my taste, not the inside nor the outside, but it's solid, and that's good!!!! ?

How about a narrative, with some still shots? Can't take anything in with the constant moving around.

Why can't American houses be like this? I love the blind feature. So cool!

American houses are made of wooden sticks compare to solid concrete German houses which will last centuries.

This house reminds me so much of my friends' home south of Mainz. I would give anything to move back to Germany!

It is permitted to build with wood in Germany, fireinsurance is very high, but it's becoming very popular. Also Ballon Framing, has a bad reputation in Germany. There was a saying at my university, that a german architect or engeneer will never be found on the second floor in a house whitch was build that way. So maybe your host family was refering to the typ of wood construction.

Very much a dream home. Beautifully designed. Seems that everything made in Germany is quite desirable.
