    The local Chinese giants like the B. A. T. in China are growing up in an extremely comparative environment not by the protection the Chinese policy. Their success so far proves one fact that they know the people, culture, tradition and have makes changes as they grow. The Alibaba’s competitor, eBay came to China really early but did not survive. eBay did not understand China nor wanted adapt to the local market. Bestbuy pulled out of China for the same reason. China’s market is one of the most open markets in the world, you find almost all cars from the world yet competition is the biggest. Those that know the market will grow. Look at GM that even saved after 2008 financial crisis the GM in the US. Its success was partly because of the biz model of joint venture with local partner that knows local market!
