NSDCA Mountain Dew Custom Series Season 4: Race 7 Craftsman 200

hello everyone and welcome to the South Boston Speedway for the craftsman 200 here in Virginia today it is a great day for cloud foster racing operations as Logan Bradley starts on pole in that number 94 alongside him William Duncan in that SIA number six in row number two Colton Lane he sits right now 37 points behind Jake Galloway that is a full race behind but he's only 13 points Alex Boone yakko your race winner from Road America he is 36 points back so still a fire but get back to Jake Galloway but you see that blue 48 all the way in the back starting very far in the back it looks like 27th position it'll be a hard day for him to move up Matthew Brown starts fourth in fifth Peter on track he drove here last season in the Red Bull short track showdown almost won that race came close and alongside him another cloud foster racing operations car number 98 of Steven Wallace jr. behind them is the 67 it is Ethan head in the 67 this week and alongside him is Austin Johnson in the number three and further back you got Kody go forth and DJ Curtis you top ten jammed and Lucas starting up here in eleventh great day for him Jesse Turner he's now on the free agency block tie tech did not resign him during the residing week so Jesse Turner could be a big move there JJ Roberts in the 39 he starts 14th of course he's retiring at the end of the season Zachary Fitzwater has a couple deals in his pocket that he could be making moves towards in the future now expand Yakka who has stated he will be retiring at the end of the season as well got Kasey Mears in the 66 Jacob rose not returning to fitzwater Australia racing next season the aunty Otto duo Anderson Reed is returning to the Truck Series next year Austin Murray not coming back to on giotto there is also Erik Monaco dusty Neal there's Jake Galloway he's starting very far back but just signed a three-year extension to drive for Texas start racing and he will be moving to the trucks next season for a rookie of the Year title possibly after his Mountain Dew custom series she championship you see Matthew eaves in the z-row he qualified this car in the back with teammate Irving Allison and as well in that merger they got the number 11 of Chandler Maurice he failed inspection would have started in the 27th position now he starts 35th one thing to point out Philip opera for Ford Performance Racing they made this race the second race they've attempted all season they missed the Valvoline 200 but they are here for the Craftsman 200 at South Boston so just 30 seconds away from the command to fire the engines and we're ready it'll be a 45 lap race here at the South Boston Speedway this race had some good battles last season and it was Nathan Ormond picking up his first win of the season we're coming down to get the commands to fire the engines in the Craftsman 200 thank you guys for tuning in to the NSD CA let's go ahead down trackside for the commands and 35 cars are fired up here at the Craftsman 200 Logan Bradley William Duncan on Row number one Colton lane he's looking for a big point stay and don't count out Alex banyak oh he's starting a bit higher than he should be in do you see Jake Galloway in the back easy to have to fight from the very back in this race but we got two very wide camera angles on two very high light poles in the distance here one in turn one and two and one in turn three and four so this is going to be a great way to see these cars all the way around the track but it's Logan Bradley William Duncan Bradley kind of holding back on that inside line and he's gonna stack them up Duncan has nowhere else to go green flags in the air Matthew Brown in the zero-one he gets held up and everyone else does now Peter on Jack goes up the track looking Bradley's gonna take the race lead so interesting restart there it doesn't look like anyone's gonna get penalized the NSD CA calling that a bit of an issue on Logan Bradley waited back Duncan didn't go in time because he was trying to wait for Bradley and Bradley just took off three wide further back Matthew Brown Steven Wallace jr. making contact DJ Curtis is in it and they're spinning in front of the field Matthew Brown up and into the catch fence up at over Casey Mears Anderson Reed's in it well is Eli bright god I believe that's Tim Foster in the 90 he had to take it past champions provisional heavy damage to Matthew Brown and caution is out on the racetrack right away Casey Mears with some damage he's coming off a seventh place finish at Road America now that is Eli bright he is making he just came out of the Crown Royal Truck Series qualifying and you see everyone to stack up on the back this is a very short track so not a lot of pacing room if there's a crash and turn three they'll be running back there very soon Mears ducks down pit road Matthew Brown was upside down into the catch fence no damage to the catch fence right there but that oh no one is pretty damaged he also got DJ Curtis he was in the top five you got Erik Monica I believe might have some damage so as the field coast around Phil prepare made it through there but Eli Brite and a lot of trucks William Duncan is down pit road that could be an issue for the 16 he was up in second looking for that contract extension with SIA trucking in this number six and it looks like he's gonna lose that second place position Colton Lane now takes the second spot but Duncan is down on pit road coming down we'll take a look at see what happens as he goes to the attention of his crew usually no pit stops in the Mountain Dew custom series so this wouldn't be good and they pull it in I think that might have been they might have assessed him a penalty for jumping the restart as he pulled away way away from that number that number 94 so the NSD CA may have penalized him for jumping that restarts the Logan Bradley could be a bit question there because Bradley really waited Casey Mears now out of the race I think that's the second year that he's been in South Boston that he will DNF but as we're coming around we are just eight six laps through this event and Logan Bradley sits in the race lead and what happened here to start off with was that Steven Wallace jr. is gonna get into the back of the L one they turn into DJ Curtis and goes up but Brown hits the wall and ramps off of it on top of DJ Curtis Kasey Mears and Anderson read both Pilon you also got tip Foster flying in there in that 90 but as we go to the Skycam here you just see 77 gets turned Matthew Brown nowhere to go Austin Johnson gets a piece of it butcher motorsports not having luck this season at all out the back bumper of Ethan head in the number 67 Kurtis tried to get by and is just gonna get clicked at the end Diego Yepez incorporated the MDC s has not had a good luck either but we are under caution for the first time today it's South Boston early on get you guys back to the action in the craftsman 200 I saw the pace car have gone out it is Logan Bradley in the race lead with Colton Lane second you got Ethan head in third and fourth is the 47 of Peter Allen jack fifth the 98 of Steven Wallace jr. then go fourth Luca Turner fitzwater and Ben Yakka all the way to the top 10 coming around Logan Bradley leads us down green flag is back in the air we're racing it South Boston and lanes could be right on the back bumper of them Ethan head right there look at Cody go fourth the Red Bull Motorsports number two driver he got a one season extension with the team he's making a move you got a ethan head in the 67 he has not signed to any team next year he's now to the inside of Colton Lane that's battle for that second spot further back William Duncan there's something amiss on the sixth on the sixth car so it was not the penalty when you're hearing there was no penalty for that restart so there's a bigger issue there Jake Galloway has not moved any positions he's dropping back staying right there around the 2627 spot now Alex Peters moves the 24 up the track everyone's making some aggressive moves Zachary Fitzwater could he do good here at South Boston not very not a very strong oval guy but he is now right now this season with his team improving he's up there Ethan head bounces off the wall that's gonna give Colton Lane back the second position you got Logan Bradley in that 94 he is still looking for his first career mountain dew Custom Series victory and there's William Duncan that is just heartbreak for die tech Motorsports they had such a good run coming into this week and now it's all destroyed because of something wrong with the 16 and now he's making laps he's not coming back down so I think they got whatever problem there was fixed you got a battle for fourth that's Steven Wallace jr. moving up here Claude foster racing operations doing very good Zachary Fitzwater looking for a top five at an oval that'd be something to see you got Marc Silas in this 19 mark is a very dark horse he has a thin points but we have not really seen him up friend a great run for Shepherd racing this season especially after losing Tyler McCall to inactivity McCall won a race last season won Iowa last season for Shepherd Alex Boone yako in the 53 he's trying to not let Colton lien pull away but right now Colton Lane would be ahead of him both of these drivers though still would be sitting behind Jake Galloway and points jcots the finish at least about 35th or better to still be in front in this race and if you know 35th is the last driver in the field can't really do that when two cars are out and that is Matthew Brown and Casey Mears out Logan Bradley now has to hold on over Colton Lane but look at Steven Wallace jr. last few weeks he's really come into his own potential this 98 team finished second at New Hampshire just a few weeks ago and now he's chasing down Colton Lane one of the best in the series one of the top three in the championship hunt he is right on the back bumper of him maybe Steven Wallace jr. and Logan Bradley could come away with a one-two finish he's an ED fourth Marc Silas fifth código fourth six JJ Roberts again he's retiring at the end of the season so one last season with Everingham they're looking for that Everingham Motorsports first career win or third career when I should say Anderson Reed took two last season and William Duncan now the card now the car gives up on him there has been a major issue on the 16 and he is over as they go Anderson Reed he has some damage from that crash still picking up spots Camden Luka he restarted inside the top ten he's all the way back outside of the top 20 heartbreaking day for him especially driver who does not have a ride next season Galloway is struggling in the back with Nikki Morris and now the smart Motorsports duo almost hit each other did foster at the back as well but Colton Lane starting to reel in Logan Bradley this could be the battle we're watching here as we're coming just to 26 to go lanes gonna go wide very wide and try to make a run there and he's gonna go almost into the wall keeps it out of the wall though but as they go Logan Bradley in that 94 right now Colton lanes second Steven Wallace jr. third let's go to the wide angle shot as they head down a tattered number three and you could see the whole field rushing on through here at South Boston could be getting into some lap traffic soon which would be amazing news Jay Galloway he's right now sitting in the 31st spot this is a struggling day for that driver of the number 48 but as the fields rushing around top three have pulled away from the rest of the grid Steven Wallace jr. all over the back Colton Lane trying to make a move happen código fourth now on the inside of mark Silas that's a battle for the fifth position is the night Tina to go at it but as they run go forth trying to get that top ten Irving Allison where did this 83 come from he started outside of the top 25 he is right now seated inside the ninth position for shade Burkhart Motorsports look at that look at that the number 11 he it will excuse me I apologize for that but the number 11 a chain of Maurice he had he failed inspection started 35th he's all the way back inside the top 15 and you got Anderson reading Austin Murray really just tearing through DJ Curtis is moving from the back Jacob rose as well but Jake Galloway has stalled back here in the 30th position now as he moves around Gunnar Matheson andis looking for a move on Philipp opera so still he will not be out of the point's lead but this could be the race that turns the tides of Stephen Wallace jr. now into second chasing down Logan Bradley Claude foster racing operations they better watch out because if they crash each other cold lanes are right there JJ Roberts in the 39 probably one of the best in this top five he is right now in that fourth position could of go forth looking for Ethan head right there Zachary Fitzwater still up here Peter on jacket on giotto they have had a lot of heartbreak a lot of monetary issues they had a great day at Chicagoland until that 44 blew up but Peter now looking under Zachary Fitzwater that's the battle for I believe the ninth position back up front Steven Wallace jr. makes the dive on Logan Bradley side-by-side for the race lead here at South Boston and it looks like swj in that pep boys 98 is going to try to make the move make it stick and pass him Bradley will have to secede the position but he's not giving up so easily Colton Lane now in this battle he could try to make and capitalize on this slow off the corner is swj bradley on the outside lane is trying for a lane JJ roberts is now could be getting up here into this battle as Steven Wallace jr. continuing to lead Kosh no caution is not out that was just the flag stand but swj now into the race lead Colton lane if he doesn't win this race a solid third place to run is great against where Jake Galloway is running right now this is Jake's worst performance of the season jake has actually finished inside the top 10 every race but one could be every weight race but to because he is really struggling in the back of this pack and tip Faust with all that damage he's at the back as well but you see Stephen Wallace jr. Logan Bradley Colton Lane your top three with Jay Jay Robertson fourth código fourth fifth Ethan head walking it wide six mark Silas seventh Peter on Jack 8th austin Murray ninth dusty Neal 10th Anderson Reed 11th ology otto is coming out with strides here even though they have some damage that 44 has some damage that they're gonna have to work on the 40 and 47 both making some great profit right now as they run around here and again her via Allison Chandler Maurice have really fought from the back exactly Fitzwater starting to drop towards the back as well there's Alex Vinayaka so he might not be gaining too much on Jake but Jake is really struggling there's something wrong with this team this week and this is just devastating for him he had a problem last year here but it looks like that problem has not fixed itself with the new team up in front it is still Stephen Wallace jr. flyby coming off of the corner J Jay Roberts co to go fourth now into that front battle top five have pulled away his rest of the field powers their way through turns one and two coming down to just 12 to go at South Boston and you see that there's tip Foster Cloud Foster racing operations number 90 there is the 98 and 94 they could be in this battle now JJ Roberts he is in the points battle 61 behind Jake Gallo is a lot but again after this week this could be big now he passes Colton Lane so that's a position gained on Lane that's some points right there Cody go forth now gonna jump Lane as well that could be big in the points battle but JJ Roberts trying to take trying to go out on top this season could he go out with a championship him in Alex Minako both confirm they will not be returning next season JJ Roberts will not be returning at all Alex Vinayaka is still open to full-time racing may come back for a couple part-time stints but JJ Roberts if this is his final season and he does not race another race after Kansas this season but he could come home with a championship especially for everett ham that would be big Steven Wallace jr. though has pulled away in this 98 at New Hampshire he was the driver chasing down Jake Galloway he was the only one up there in the final closing laps but a caution within the final two laps cost him everything he would have had a run he could have won that race but now today it's looking like it could be redemption especially for a struggling Claude foster racing operations their highest driver tempted points is dusty Neill swj 14th he's been on a climb but Logan Bradley has been on a decline back to 23rd and points Steven Wallace junior looking for his first career win there you see Tim foster ahead he might catch him and tip he owns this car so maybe he will let him by maybe he'll just maybe his cars just handling poorly might get into him might lose something there you see now Peter on Jack and Austin Mary fighting for the sixth position Austin has not real not be returning to on giotto next season but Peter is not upset he knows that on Giotto is now struggling he knows the financial issues with this team and you see that's why he is still racing Austin with respect and now Peters going to take that six position Austin back to seventh on Giotto doing great now three cars inside the top ten there's dusty Neal to see if our car is doing great except for that that 90 as now Steven Wallace Jr's all over the back room also Jake Galloway and Alex VIN yako both back here this is a great point stay for Colton Lane this could throw him right into a title hunt now after this race but Steven Wallace jr. he has three laps to go before he comes home with his first career win further back Colton lane or Cody go forth and Logan Bradley when did JJ Roberts gets second he is on the move I don't think he has enough time unless tib holds up Steven even further right now in that 98 and he is I don't think JJ could catch him but what a performance JJ roberts has shown he's all the way up into the second position there was another 15 laps I'm sure he probably would have caught Steven but coming around white flag here in the 98 Tim foster runs it very wide as long as swj can make this mile and a half or half a mile I should say he will come home with the victory the 98 car heading on down in the corner now coming out of turn number two it has been only seven races since he started his NS DC a career in the mountain do custom series and he will bring it home cloud foster racing operations first career win in the mountain do custom series JJ roberts second Colton lane drops the seventh as Murray and Wow what a run there but it is Steven Wallace jr. in the 98 coming home with the victory JJ roberts código fourth Logan Bradlee Peter I'll Jack gets a top five what a run there Austin Mary piece six Colton lane seven Anderson Reed just drops out of the top ten takes home 11th but a great day for Onorato especially getting that top-5 Fitzwater drops the 18th jake galloway alex Minako 29th galloway 30th that will lose 21 points on the on the points lead now Colton Lane will gain 21 points on Galloway but it looked like Eli Brite he has heavier damage than what we thought maybe he got it after the race was over I don't think he did but a great day for a bunch of these drivers and a great day for Steven Wallace jr. the points battle now is closing up here after South Boston and we're heading into the second half of the season right here 14 races in the championship and this was race number 7 we'll see you guys at Richmond for the Crown Royal Truck Series race there and we'll be heading to Watkins Glen next in the mountain dew Custom Series in just a few weeks we thank you guys for tuning in and we'll see you guys next time you
