And today, with the engineer team you see behind of me, this car has been produced. Foundation has been laid, and factory has been established. Today we’ll see the car. And tomorrow, I’ll try to make a test drive. If I can do it for Otopark.com, it will be wonderful! But..I want to show you to the team. All these friends are our followers.. Now, let’s meet with you.. – Before I start to work for here, I saw GÜNSEL via Mr. Sinan’s videos. + Before starting to work? – Yes. Long time ago. + Waow, good! – I applied here 3-4 years ago. When I saw your introduction. – I’m a member of electricity team – But I didn’t meet with GÜNSEL via your videos – I was taking charge in TUBITAK electric cars project at Çukurova University. – And I started to work here by means of it. – So, I’ve been working here for 3 years. – Hi, I’m Eren Soylu. I’m working at termal team of this car. – I’m energy systems engineer. And I’m working here for 1,5 years. I wonder something about battery system of car. New version cars have a system to keep batteries in optimum temperature, such as liquid cooling. Does this car have a system like that? – Yes. Gas powered liquid cooling system is existing. – You’ll already see it at the introduction about termal system. – It makes car available to work properly in both too hot and cold conditions by keeping all parts of it in optimum temperature. – Therefore, it increases battery life and destination that car can go. There is 52 kwh battery, isn’t it? – Yes, it is. How many cells does it have? – Now it owns 30 parallel cells. – But of course it has different combinations. – Nevzat may help you about batteries It is a big proud for me too because they are our followers. They all came next to me and said that they follow us. I’m more excited than them. – I am Nevzat Elmas, working on battery department. I take charge for battery management systems. – I came here from Eskişehir Are you a mechanical engineer? – Electric electronic engineer. – We work on setting the input and output values, optimisation, and configuration of temperature of battery. Did you start to work on this project as soon as you graduate? – After 6 months from my graduation. -I already have an interest to automobiles since my childhood. – I came here after an e-mail which came at 3.00 a.m. – I mean everything happened extremely. By the way I had a chance to visit your workplace There is a summary of how to create an automobile in there. Not a big place, but it will be moved to factory. All the harnesses, headlights, air conditioners were located. It was wonderful. Very exciting. – Before finishing car, we tested them on test benchs, you mean them. – Before getting the parts together, all the systems were checked on test benchs and configurations were corrected according to these results. – The parts you see were already finished. – From cables to body control module, all the parts were designed. For instance, chassis has aluminum seams. You did it, right? – Yes, right. – Explode the car, and lay it on a desk, that was our test bench. – All the working parts of car such as electric, electronic, termal, battery etc. were there. – The battery test bench was there too, but its capacity is a little bit lower. We did a low-capacity battery for tests. We were using it. – We did our tests like this, and got them together. Now it is working! – We’ll continue on this way. Yes now it is working stably. What about the range? – The range of car is approximately 350 km. apart from them..max battery voltage is 400 V. 0-100 time? – The datas which came from test drivers indicates that 0-100 acceleration is 9,8 seconds. So good. – We have an interior design done by both designers and engineers. and this interior design was protected by a great privacy. Will we have opportunity to see it today? – Yes you will. Did you get inspired from something? – Yes, obviously. We are inspired from new generation cars. How to create an interior design. It’s too hard to do it. – Yes. It is very tough You are a fresh engineer. How do you know about interior design? It is very difficult. How many people did it..how did you manage? – Crew consists of 9 members. – There are 9 people working on it – We have to be coordinated Of course. They are all newly graduated, fresh engineers and automobile enthusiasts like us. They attended to the project. And a product has been created. No need to lie, we were saying that school doesn’t have enough opportunity to do it. You see the design This design was inspired by Moufflon which is a popular sign of Cyprus When it comes to technical details, its range is predicted as 350 km It owns a 52 kwh powered battery. We saw its prototype in 2016 In 2017, design and supply processes were done. I always followed these processes In 2018, company worked with 800 suppliers. In 2019, the factory building was done. Machinery track was established. Base of factory was laid. And now in 2020, we see it. It looks so elegant..and the whole interior sections of it really work. It is designed as second level autonomous But they said that the SUV you see there has capacity to get improved up to third-fourth level. It has 140 kW max power. Its battery is eight-moduled, and equipped with 2880 cells 0-100 acceleration is approximately 8 seconds. The speed limit is 170 km/h but it can be increased. The company aims to produce 20.000 cars until 2025 It is too early to talk about its price… …but they gave a feedback that its price may be near to Golf’s price or a little bit more than it. It’ll have high-boost charging with type 2 ccs. With these equipments it reaches up to %80 (maybe more) in a half hour. It owns an aluminum chassis Its door opens like old Ferrari’s The interior is really good. Everything is working. It is not a stationary prototype. … sensivity of it is very good There is a USB port here. Back side is designed for two people By the way we talked about wheter LHD car will be or not? They said that it has a moduler platform. Very easy changes can be done… ..but they started to produce RHD, because in Cyprus RHD cars are driven. And their priority is Cyprus first. But LHD version will definitely exist. The aim is to produce 7000 cars in 2024 And they say 25 cars will be produced in 2021. It can be faster or slower due to the battery prices and R&D works. It’s quality of material, and design looks really nice. As you see, it can be ignited. It has LED headlights as you can see the reflection. I appreciated that design Ergonomy also is thought. Apart from them, three electric circuit represents three brothers And also electric sign means only electric cars will be produced, It gives us ‘May the Silence be with you’, ‘Innovative, Efficient, Graceful’ messages. Regenerative mode cuts in when you stop braking. Generally that type of cars become weak, insensible. But this is not actually. The first acceleration of an electric car is so impressive especially for people who has never driven an electric car before. Because there is not a loss of convert. You can feel it directly. Pushing on the pedal is a request of acceleration. You can feel that request directly, without a loss of convert. It is a detail which makes driver feel satisfied. In my opinion, there will be an electric car enthusiasm in future. The more electric cars are produced, the more demand for them will increase according to me.. …and it will become an enthusiasm. Exactly. I’m so proud of it. I’m the first to test this car from Turkey between press. It is also a proud for me because it is my college’s product. Pretty good. Big proud, isn’t it? Yes it is. Also its movement is wonderful. It is quite pure. Its absorber, suspension… ..steering wheel.. Although the road is with holed… I thought suspensions were solid but..It is not. It has a firm and heavy steering wheel I would expect it to be light. But it isn’t. I liked it. Good job my friends.
