What a beautiful and interesting house! For me, upstairs i would place a murphy bed instead of regular bed 😀

nice, too bad it's in PHX, I still see a square box house being smashed down into a cylinder, instead of a spiral staircase, a sweeping stairway around the inside of the silo, where all the house mechanics could be stowed, water heater, laundry, bath, THAT Bath needs to be a sealed wet-box, the whole thing is shower with a toilet and sink, that leave the space as a Great Room complete with kitchen/living space, the upstairs could be freed for 1/2 bath and bed(s), but that's just me. the exterior was very well thought out, the main living space in the shadow of the silo the growing areas in the full sun sides. too bad it's in PHX

He really missed out on the opportunity to have the Skylight in the middle and center of the roof. Which would really bring in another layer and natural light into the home.

How would l get 'planning permission' for that in the UK? EVERYTHING GETS PLANNING PERMISSION IN THE UK. You can build on productive farm land, flood plains, people's back gardens, forests ( so long as you don't mind cutting down all the trees ), and any woodland. The British Council gang are in full swing chopping down as many mature trees as possible, so they'll hardly bother you if you want to fell a few hundred. Concrete Britain guarantees you planing permission, as does mass magnet migration.
