Delta® Design Trust: Find Your Home Design Inspiration

My style is very layered. It is super colorful, it’s patternful. Things that feel well-traveled an edited space so your eye really has a place to land. It’s a very, like simple, clean, lots of beautiful white backgrounds. We’re here in New York City to share how you can implement human-inspired design into your home. The Delta Design Trust is a curated group of tastemakers joining forces with the Delta brand. I definitely tend to look to travel and texture and places like where we were today to get my creative brain going. If you’re really trying to hone in on your style, gravitate towards timeless, beautiful elements. Things like brass or bronze, matte black, which Delta does an amazing matte black. You say design and it sounds like this, this magical, powerful thing that sits on a hill, but everyone’s designing things. You’re making choices about how you live and how you want to live. When you get dressed in the morning, you’re making design decisions. We’re all designers. Whether it be a city skyline, a secret garden or an artisan jeweler, human-inspired design helps you put inspiration from the world around you in your home. I love the idea of bringing in the energy that moving water can bring to the home. So for example, I love an open shower. The whole room becomes enveloped in this beautiful flowing energy. If it’s not absolutely beautiful, if it’s not absolutely functional, let it go. You got to really get into the discovery of your style. Look for something that just is really different. What’s inspiring to you? Have you seen it before? What does it make you feel like? This excites me. Why? This color is speaking to my soul. Why? Not just because it’s pretty, but there is something underneath it. At the end of the day, people want a space that reflects them and feels like them and that’s what that VoiceIQ Technology is giving them. “Hey Alexa, ask Delta to fill two cups of water.” I filled a vase the other day, I was like, “Yes! Thank you, Delta Faucet.” It’s the only person in my house that listens to me at this point. Here, cheers! Cheers! Woo!
