Decorative Mason Jars | Home Decor | Easy Affordable options | Laxmi Jakkal

hi guys this is Lakshmi welcome to my channel so today I am here with another awesome DIY project just look at this beautiful babies so while you have been throwing away your used-up salsa or jam jars I have upcycle them and turned them into these pretty luminaries I had so much fun creating them and I'm very proud of my creation I have many different styles to suit everyone's taste and don't worry they are surprisingly very easy to recreate so let's do it now you can use fresh new mason jars or just upcycle some old ones like I did here your candle jars are another great option for this project soak your old mason jars in water at least for a day so that the sticker on them will come off really easy and for your use door candles just stick the jars in your freezer overnight and the candle should come off easily give them a nice wash and let them dry and we'll get started so I am showing you five fantastic ideas today and this first one reminds me of a beach and some of our best vacations every time I look at it and you won't believe how easy it is to make so check it out for yourself for this you will need a widemouth jar some colorful seashells a candle and some sand start by pouring the sand in the jar and then arrange the shells around the corners as many as you like now place the candle in the center and you are done easy peasy huh so our beautiful beachy sandy luminary is ready next is this really adorable one with glass jumps on it and it will simply dazzle your evening away glowy pretty and eye catching let's make it you will need a hot glue gun candle ribbon a jar and flat back glass gems now the process is pretty straightforward you apply glue on the flat surface of the gem and stick it on the jar you can use any multi-purpose glue instead of a glue gun but glue gun really makes this process easier and faster also feel free to make any pattern that you like I am just sticking them in circles till I cover the whole jar and we are done let it dry for a couple of hours and then you can tie a pretty lace around it and once it is done be ready to dazzle your evenings ah look at this one doesn't it remind you of Hawaii so colorful and vibrant this was in fact a last-minute thing that I came out with and this is one of my top favorites I am just obsessed with this one so let's get started you will need a jar some fake flowers hot glue gun some multi surface colors and a brush or sponge to put the color on start preparing the base color by mixing up your favorite color with some white once you are happy with the shape start applying it on the jar now I was going for a shabby chic look and so I did not care if a few spots were not painted and I also did not go very heavy-handed with the color this is also because when you light a candle inside of the jar you want the light to show through the color also coat the rim if you wish and then let it dry all right the color has tried and we are now ready to stick the flowers on if you have seen my previous year Y video these are left over from there and you can choose to stick this as is with a stem or use the individual flowers as I did here now this is your chance to go crazy and stick whatever you want to on it like pearls mirror pieces or even color some polka dots on it I just placed the flowers in a random manner nothing special and it's ready simply gorgeous isn't it and it looks prettier in the evenings this next one will take your breath away at least it did for me it's amazing what an old plain empty jar can turn into and I will say that this one is my favorite amongst all of them so let's see how we can make it you will need a jar a print of your favorite design some metallic spray paint some markers and scissors start by spray painting your jar make sure you leave a space in the center for our design and do not coat it too much with the color and let it dry for an hour now I just love chandeliers and so I chose this design and I'm so glad that I did you can choose a simpler design like a dried tree or butterfly or you can simply draw some cute hearts all over it will all look pretty now just place this design inside the jar in the area which you did not spray paint and secure it with a tape and now we start tracing the design on the glass and don't worry it is very easy and as I said you can also go for a simpler design all right a design has now been traced and all we have to do now is fill it all in with the same color and we are done so once it dries out just remove the paper print from inside and this is how it will look wait till you light it in the evening it looks spectacular and I am absolutely in love with this one all right so we come to our last one and it is as easy as one two three even your kids could make this simple yet beautiful all you need is a jar a candle and any piece of whole jewelry like a necklace or a bracelet that you're not using anymore now just tie the piece of necklace around the leg of the jar and place a candle in it and light it and you are done use it as a hanging piece for your windows or place it on your corner table it will enhance any spot in your house so there you go you have five fantastic ways to upcycle your old mason jars and decorate any corner of your house if you recreate this please stag me on the pictures on social media I would love to see your creation so here you hope you guys enjoy today's video until we meet next time be larger than life you
