Decorating Our Home on a Budget: Our Gallery Wall

everyone its Lilia and today and participating in the decorating our home on a budget collab slash challenge issued by Danielle at blissful and domestic I absolutely love Danielle she is one of my favorite blogger blogger friends she's just a sweetheart and I love her so when she said hate you and do this challenge I said of course so today I'm going to be showing you our gallery wall we just moved into our new home in November I have kind of had fun decorating I'm not really a decorator I'm kind of missing that decorating gene but it is fun to put things together and steal other people's ideas so here is our gallery wall it is probably my favorite thing in the house it took me not that long to put together and I feel like it really encompasses our little family okay so starting from left to right we have this how is it possible that out of all the little boys in the world we got the best ones that is something that I bought off Etsy but I saw it on Pinterest first so those of you who are creating things to sell from home be sure to pin your items because great free marketing then I have this sweet picture of baby Isaac in a frame that was given to me when he was born and then I have the sweet picture of both my boys riled and Isaac and I painted this green frame to kind of match the background then this yes these are all crooked but I really don't care these are my baby's handprints and footprints and you might notice that it spells love and then I wrote just little phrases on them love family happiness joy sons together enjoy the little gears faith hope and love but the greatest is love love covers a multitude of spins get it because that's our last name and over all of these virtues put on love which binds them in perfect unity Colossians 3:14 and I just I think that looks so cute even though yes that is crooked and then here is sort of a filmstrip type frame this is all Ryles so I've got to get one of Isaac but this is my favorite picture on here about Jason holding that baby upside down then this is a little sign that we got on our honeymoon and it just says the send Jason and Lydia and then it's got pictures of Ryles yeah like this is not fair we only have one photo of isaac well that's not true and here we have mostly the Isaac corner here is a picture of Isaac at my parents house on the tractor and then another picture of him oh hang that right back up hey trav Lydia and yes this is a very poorly painted frame but I don't care I'm a magic picture of why was being brought home from the hospital another picture of Isaac and then this this is a picture of Isaac's little feet and it's a line from a really great song called Cecilia in the satellite written by Andrew McMahon but it's of all the things my eyes have seen the best by far is you and that that is just so true of the three men in my life so there you have it so it's not the most professional penworthy gallery wall that i have ever seen but that's fine because i feel like it's a good representation of our life homemade simple filled with love and that that those are words that describe our home homemade simple filled with love but I wanted to talk about where things came from I mentioned that that how is it possible sign was purchased off Etsy but like I said you you you know pin your stuff in here like nice about Etsy I'll leave a link to the shop below if I can find it but you could probably easily make one of those with some pallets and then this frame was a gift from my aunt and then I just painted this spring to look like what I wanted it to now these were purchased very inexpensively I think I got a pack of six of them for around $5 at Michael's during a clearance sale then this was a frame that was given to us after rouse was born and it took me almost a year to actually put anything in it I didn't really have an sort of planned mapped out for how I was going to put things up there were some screws already there and so I used them to avoid drilling more holes in the wall and then that sign is actually covering up a random screw that was already there I couldn't there was a screw and then directly beneath it so I don't know if there was a clock hanging there I don't know but I just looked at you know what colors go well together what lines go well together I liked that this piece right here was really tall and then I just put you know two shorter things next to it I didn't line things up perfectly because it's not a museum it's my home I feel like it's a little shabby chic but that's okay I feel like when you're putting things together in your home you really have to go based on one what you have into what you're comfortable with because you don't want your house to look like somebody else's so that's my two cents from a lady who does not know how to decorate tell me about some of the budget decorating that you've done what kind of gallery walls have you put together I would love to hear leave me a comment below and don't forget y'all to check out the awesome ladies who are also participating in this today oh and I have another collab video up today so be sure to check that out or look at it in the video description below alright we'll talk about that another day but here we have our frozen
