BUDGET EASTER DECOR DIYS *FARMHOUSE* Burlap/Hessian

had already welcome back to my channel so inside video I have another Easter deaf core video this is going to be the last one for 2019 as opposite Easter is next weekend but basically this morning I woke up and I felt like I needed a few little last-minute you stab it in my kind of home because I wasn't feeling eastery enough I thought this year I'm gonna really milk the seasons the celebrations everything like that so I thought why not just store in a few little extra DIYs in here today I made all three from Hessian basically I bought a meter kind of piece from my local Hubbard ash tree it was a meter by a meter and a half at two pound 49 it worked out and I made all three deco pieces out of that one meter of fabric so it was really cheap to make them and I think that they all turned out absolutely beautiful I made a bunny inspired by one I've seen on Pinterest I made another current go in with my bunch of carrots I've been meaning to make for a while and I also made a little bunny bum garland kind of thing for my fireplace out at the kitchen which is still work-in-progress so you have to ignore the state of fact so yeah hopefully you enjoy this video I did edging it up a bit to be different so I actually spoke whilst I was doing the craft so like I kind of give you a lot of tips and tricks and show you exactly how it's doing things really in-depth on this video so it is quite a bit longer than my usual ones I'm not 100% happy with how longer it is so when doing this style of video in the future I might just do like that technique for like one DIYs instead of like videos with three they always in to cut them down a little bit so yeah without me rambling on any further that's why this one's stuff a little bit different I'm just gonna get straight on into the video this is like a medium weave has here like I don't know if you can see that they come in all different like prices and everything you can get thicker kind of weaves you can get thinner ones I use use a thinner one which is kind of more expensive it's usually about six seven pounds per square metre in my local fabric store this one here it was just to pound something I think it was closer to like two pound 50 for the full meter by a meter and a half size but I thought it was quite a bargain so I think I'm going to use this one today just showing you the difference here the weave of the thinner one that you usually use is much much kind of you know tighter weave together I do prefer the look of this one but I'm gonna be using the cheaper one today as I'm gonna be making a few bigger pieces so for the first piece of a bigger deck or I'm gonna be making a hanging kind of a rabbet on the door kind of deck or piece I've seen these a lot floating around on Instagram and figured I would make it now considering easter is coming up so soon I always leave it to last-minute a little bit because now I've just caught a big a rectangle about this sort of size is slightly bigger than a poor piece of paper I reckon and I'm gonna need two of those so there's at my second piece what I am gonna go ahead and do is just iron them you could earn it on quite a high setting to get it done real fast but you know just adjust your temperature of your iron kind of accordingly to see where you can put you know get it as high as you can next taking a at Brown bit of paper I'm just gonna drop my rough a bunny like shape you can almost use like recycle Brown people it comes in a package some cardboard and maybe even like an old prime that bag just something that's kind of a similar color to this Brown because it is quite as thick weave by the time you put there like stuffing in it might pop through a little bit so this brown paper layer I just got to avoid any of that I'm not very good at drawing like symmetrically I don't know what it is but I'm just gonna fold over my paper and then kind of cut this out you know like on the drawing so I only have to draw half a bunny and I can actually get it so much fun okay once I have my buddy I'm just gonna put it on at like a diagonal as much as I can get it on and fit so yeah just like so and I'm actually just gonna hot glue this down to you know the fabric just ever so slightly just using a tiny tiny bit of hot glue not much just enough to kind of keep all the points down okay so now that that is kind of like hot glued to the back of the Hudson or the front that there has in it whatever you want to call it what you want to do is kind of hot glue all the way around that paper so not on the paper just outside of it and then I'm just gonna lay the other piece of Hessian on top make sure not to burn yourself I buy myself probably every other day when using I see right now that is darling you can then go ahead and call for the exes so what will help is holding this up to the light don't know how I'm going to show you here I know I'm gonna get my phone I don't on torch mode if you hold up to the window you cannot see the paper silhouette through and not very well yeah if you hold it up to the window then you will be able to see through look if I hold this up to my studio like now you can kind of see like where the paper is so you just want to cut about a centimeter around the roll of that paper so I don't know if he's seen or not but on the bottom I didn't actually glue up a good no no two to three inches space just so that I could actually stuff at the shape as you can see it the paper is on one side probably here crinkling and on the back it's not that's just to save a bit of paper you can obviously put it on both sides but you can see my fingers through but anyway you just want to stuff your shape and to do that I'm going to use some toy stuffing if you have an old pillow and old cushion ends like that that will work also if you just want to pull it apart and then just lightly stuff it into your shape to get it all the way up to the ears and everything you can just use something like a pencil just to push it right on up in there and I will get it in here and this is why you want to use a little bits of stuffing at a time so that you're able do you know pop it right up into the very kind of smaller bits get it a nice even kind of rake as you can see already you can start to see where it's gone white from where the stuffing was and because of the paper we won't have this honor the front Ilan this year I did have a little bit bust open so we want to do is just pull that apart just pop in and actually a tiny tiny and dab of glue making sure not to burn yourself just push it shot if you obviously have n nails then it does help to kind of use them as little tools yeah you just want to do that and then carve any little frayed bits that you may have so once we filled up the shape pretty much all the way that it's gonna go you just want to kind of push the stuffing in out the way hold the top flap kind of back and then just hot glue all along with that bottom edge would have helped if I had a little bit more glue in my glue gun you just want to push the stuffing in and then seal up the Hessian edges so it once complete seal just chop off all of the little bits of frayed edges and eating it all up a little bit missed a spot in the middle there so now that we have these giant rabbit you turn it around so the paper side is on the front and then we just need to decorate it I'm going to be using a length of twine and a length of white ribbon just to wrap around the neck just gonna intertwine them together twist them around the neck a little bit to add a little bit of extra detail I have seen some people on you know Pinterest and if like that use kind of more gestion around the neck you just try and use just ribbon I don't know I think it'll be cute to kind of use the both go stir them around as a go to add a little bit more of kind of I don't know a little bit extra detail I don't stay that way but I think it's gonna least try a look bit cuter I'm just going to snip off and I'm actually just gonna glue these down into place because they are springing up a little bit just a tiny tiny double glue because I don't want it to look like it's glued in place or to kind of puff it I just want it to kind of sit a bit prettier and flying up the other night I made a bunch of white pom-poms using my pom-pom makeup from home bugs I actually made these for a different project but I'm just going to use them now rather than making some more so I'm just gonna hot glue a little pom-pom onto the very bottom of the rabbit that as its little tail I made these out super super chunky yarn once that little guy is in place all you need to do then is pop a little kind of hoop onto the back I'm just going to use a another little piece of twine just kind of pop mine about there that'll do pop or not down into the glue on criss cross over into the glue and then a put a little bit of Patsy and over the back just a little off cop I had off the rabbit just to kind of you know probably see all that in and there we are a lot of hanging bunny for the door is then complete the second project you're gonna need 10 circles of Hessian now I have just basically cut mine out with a dye on my die-cutting machine it doesn't really cut through all of it so I'm just gonna go ahead and just you know cut out the final bits but if you don't obviously have a die machine you can like draw around a little kind of like car or a mini bowl or a glass or just like a storage container that I kind of keep my pens in and you just kind of want to cut around and you want to have ten circles in total so once I have all ten circles what I'm going to do is just take five of them and I'm actually just gonna pop some ears onto these so to do that I'm just gonna take some like scrap pieces and these are just like ones from like you know the outsides of the suckles and I'm just gonna go ahead and cut out some ear shapes obviously I'm gonna need ten – two on each of the circles so these are all gonna be like mismatched and you know I'm not gonna take too much kind of care with making them exactly the same because at the end I they're just ears once you have all of the ears you just want to take one suckle at a time and just kind of put two dots of hot glue on there and then just hot glue the ears to each one of them so that's all five have their little ears on I'm just gonna go ahead and take some twine again I'm just gonna run this I don't know about a meter maybe a meter and a half long just to give a nice stretch for my little Garland and I'm gonna go ahead and do is just kind of take a bit like that on the end to make a little tie and I'm just going to go ahead and just hot glue at the top between the ears and start putting that twine down lay down a little Mahler bag just to protect my desk a little bit but what I'm gonna go ahead and do is just hot glue around each of the circle with the twine kind of sticking out the ears of that so just around in a circle shade right round on the edge of each one like I said the twine kind of going upwards and the reason I put this mail and bag down is just like I said protect my desk because I've got paper in there to stop the hot glue coming through it will definitely go on my desk and ruin it so just lay down the other kind of circle and talk about one pressing it down into the hot glue I'm going to use my scissors just press down really family because I don't want to burn my fingers for the mini of time and yeah just make sure it's really really sealed what I'm gonna go ahead and do is just pop a little bit of stuffing in each of the circle obviously I didn't put paper in this one so I am expecting it to be a little bit more see-through I just did that to save some time and yeah I'm just gonna have to stuff these kind of shocked the same way that I did the main bunny I'm just gonna hold it there and just hot glue the rest of ears circle go ahead and trim off kinda frayed edges there meet up a little bit and there's a little bunny look at that it's so cute I don't think I actually like the shape of this ear all of the years actually so I'm just gonna go ahead and change them and all that and make the Miller bit more rounded yeah that's cuter don't like that point on the top look at that that's already sweet okay I'm gonna go ahead and do the same thing for the rest of the little kind of a circle bunny shape just you know hop going around the edge and then stuff in them ever so lightly so again like I said in the last DIY I've made a huge bunch of these pom-poms I just made these with a pom pom maker by got from home bargains you can also get them in Poundland hope you craft that salsa I think it's a to set you can get in pound that and then a 3-cent hovercraft for 149 but you get like the massive hole maker in there so I actually really like the one in her bargains and what you want to do is just make a whole other problem so you could obviously do the whole cardboard method or you can obviously buy some and all we got to do is just hot glue these to the bottom of the bodies act as their little tails so I'm just gonna put a little hot glue I say a little one and it is a huge job of hot glue I'm gonna pop that on there and pop it at the bottom you can see the bunny there you can see how cute goes look at this this is adorable I just love this I'm just gonna do that for all five of the bunnies taking the off cut pieces I'm just gonna tie them into little bows because I think that this will make a nice little accent while doing this but I have so many like little kind of cuts from those ties and stuff don't waste them so you know a little bit of extra detail never goes amiss let's go tie them into a little bows Ernest coffee excess so under no I'm gonna go ahead and do is just stick them on the tine in between the buddies just to break up that Hessian kind of color all the little bows are then in plays my garland was then compete I think it's super super adorable I'm gonna hang this up I think in my kitchen maybe in the living room for the rest of the week obviously as Easter is next weekend I'm actually to keep my decorations up until like May and least stretch out that long and then I'm gonna start DIY and I saw my DIYs and stuff but yeah I'm really happy this think it looks so cute it took me all of about I think 15 minutes 20 minutes to make what I think is just brilliant obviously cost me near to nothing and I just think they are so cute look at the little tails I just love them so for the third and final DIY I'm actually just gonna make a Hessian at carrot this is one that I wanted to make the other day to go with the other kind of lot that I made but I just didn't get around to it so I'm just gonna kind of use what I've got here already I'm gonna take some of this off cut off the paper work out the funny gonna take another off cut piece of that at a WA I'm gonna use these little threads as well just chuck it all in there it doesn't have to be great just kind of found a ladder and then I'm just gonna tape it down with some sticky tape at one of the ends I'm just gonna like wrap it Titus and it kind of like you know tapers down into that current shape so I'm just gonna pull my tape really really like tight around it and I know that this looks like a mess but we will cover up it's fine so I'm just gonna go ahead and just wrap that around kind of Fanning it up like so so I want this a little bit thicker again so I'm actually just gonna take this mailing bag that I used earlier just to kind of you know protect my desk and I'm just gonna roll that around roll that around make it bigger why not hey just make it nice and fat so just go take that down yet again we should just start over this anyways but can you do it just using up what I have I am NOT going to be spending back to pounce on a carriage right that's better because this is why I'm actually just gonna cover it in a bit parcel tape just to kind of disguise the like white to brown bit and I've just got a little bit left on this reel so this will work out perfectly that was not meant to do that just like so just covering the whole thing up with brown tape next what I'm gonna go ahead and do is I'm just gonna roll the current in one layer of the Hessian just like so just gonna walk out where I'm gonna like make my cuts so I'm just gonna credit that angle and then I'm just gonna I'm just gonna hot glue that actually just for a line of hot glue down there not very big one just enough to kind of keep it in place so and then I'm just gonna roll it around in the Hessian nice and tightly to keep all of that inside once I get to about you know about that I'm just gonna pop a big line of hot glue as you can see and I'm just gonna roll it into that so really tighten in the bottom I'm just gonna pop some glue on and then I'm gonna wrap it really really tightly into that I just gotta spin it to cut it you know twist the end down squishing the glue in making sure it really kind of seals down at the bottom X going to go ahead and just fold in all of this mess looking at stuff just gotta fold it down a little bit down as I go seal all then make it nice and neat looking then I'm going to go ahead and just make the topper sir I'm just gonna go and like make some slits down kind of let the felt car I did the other day I'm just gonna go ahead and reel that out so just a real thin line of glue I feel like I'm using a so much glue on these do eyes I'm just gonna roll it do that to the very top of the carrot okay that's pretty much sat now just enough to fluff out this but through many you know really really loose bits a.cian a little bits going sideways will come out as a fun big massive little alright to make that a little bit neater what I'm gonna go and heard and do take some satin ribbon and just run that around be kind of like stalker I think satin just kind of you know really offsets against the Hessian and just brings like kind of back into looking a bit more put together a bit nicer I am just gonna tie another little bow with that satin ribbon and then just stick that on there also just sealed off the edges with the lighter just so that the satin it doesn't fray and there I'm just gonna hot glue that bow on to kind of little wrap around part at the top and that is the basis of the current look at that that's so cute I think though it's gonna look adorable in a word the rest of my carrot so even though is that is coming up next weekend I still think that these are super cute have hanging around as decor pieces I'm sure they scream Easter at some people and other people would be happy to have them in their home quite like all year round or some round something like that I think bunnies are pretty versatile but they do scream Easter to me I'm not going to be keeping them up for that long probably another two weeks I'm thinking about changing our deck got over in May the whole house is pretty much a work in progress especially this room I want to do so much with it and so much with the other kind of rooms in our home so hopefully you will be along for the journey watch things that happen so yeah I'm gonna go now but I hope you all have a fantastic weekend let me know if you have any weekend plans and it's like that as I genuinely would be interested to know what everyone's up to might spark some inspiration in my head of what to get up to myself for the rest of the weekend yeah hopefully I will see you again soon for another video bye

What gorgeous creations. With the big bunny you could also use brown fabric instead of paper so you don't hear the paper rustling when you touch it.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I made a hessian bunny for my Spring wreath this year but I zigzag stitched it on my sewing machine instead of using hot glue, it came out so cute ?
