BASIC TOOLS FOR APPLIANCE REPAIR

here's another appliance tip video from shimla plants parks today we're going to discuss the proper tools to use for any basic appliance repair situation whether it be washers dryers stoves and refrigerators alright first off you got five basic tools that you'll see more than the other ones and I'll go over that right now I've got a pair of channellocks or pliers I prefer channel Phillips head screwdriver a 5/16 nut driver a quarter-inch nut driver and a straight screw driver you will see these tools more than you will on the other one of your fictional Ponce's or with your deeper Sophie alright got needlenose pliers got a big pair down there in the small pair you'll see right there and my thumb is that is a wire cutter and if you don't have a wire cutter on your needlenose pliers you can always buy wire cutters they have that as well just we'll rinse them use that many times you'll need to look at tape they'll also need these wire nuts ready you can pick these up at Lowe's or any hardware store I prefer the orange ones and the blue ones because they seem to work the best and on what size wire you have got a big screwdriver here for anything I might have to pry a 3/8 3/8 nut driver you see your socket set back there we use that 3/8 out of there morning will anything or you can use this 3/8 nut driver it's very handy to have like I said you got your socket set back there a flashlight only the Kerr flashlight may be in a dark room or something like that know you wish you had it over here sometimes I'll use that find easier got a pen case you to write a model or serial number down got a black marker in case got take a bunch of wires off and you don't know where they go back on to well you can take that marker and write it on somewhere on the inside the stove there and or dryer or whatever you're fixing and to be able to remember and look at it and put your eyes back on correctly and the C last thing right voltage meter or your own meter I use it as an ohm meter it's on the bottom right right there it's already set on it rest of them are voltage settings but I use own meter for check the continuity of parts you can check and see if ports any good by using the old meter and I've got some videos on how to do that as well it's not hard very simple but some people don't know how to do it and hopefully I can help them out well these are the main parts or tools you'll be using hope this has been helpful you
